    Fear Factory

Spontaneity is key to a great night. Tasha, Anne, Alex, Gina, & I went to a party in Williamsburg last night with really minimal details. It was at Acme in Brooklyn which is essentially an old warehouse turned studio and event space. We had no idea who was going to be there, what it was all about (other than the fact that I found out about it via @fuerzabrutanyc). We literally got the tickets 2 minutes before the sale closed. What made this party different? It was definitely the people. Everyone was just so focused on having fun. No sleazy guys. Snowcones with a shot of rum. The cast of…

    Bring to Light NYC

There are time where I feel extremely lazy – especially when it’s pouring outside. Despite the fact that I procrastinated the whole day yesterday (it’s just so easy when the weather is dreary), I managed to go across the East River with Heidi, Alby, and Stefan to the Bring to Light Festival in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. A Non-Stop Party

With the exception of school on Friday morning, my weekend felt like it started on Thursday. Since I really should stop procrastinating and just get started on my homework, here’s a quick list on what I did this weekend: Took my aunt and cousin Andrew on a quick food tour of my favorite places to eat around Union Square: Artichoke and the milk bar. Visited Ground Zero on Thursday. It was already a media frenzy! 🙁 Went to Shake Shack at Madison Square Park with Andrew and Eric for the first time in over a year. So yummy! Partied it up at Fashion’s Night Out in SoHo with Tasha and…

    Hipsters in Brooklyn

Uncharted territory in Brooklyn is always tough. In my experience, I’ve only gone to the “nice” parts of the borough so it was quite an experience to get out of the L on Morgan Ave. in pretty much as what Eric described as the ghetto. Okay, so there wasn’t anyone there. No gangsters. But the walls were filled with graffiti. Warehouses, abandoned houses, and commercial buildings surrounded the area. No cute stores or restaurants. What really disturbed me the most was probably the fact that there was no one around. A few cars here and there, but Claudia, Eric, and I ran into anyone the whole two blocks we walked…
